Belfast City Marathon
Date - MONDAY 3 MAY 2010
The marathon is always an enjoyable day out and a great opportunity to raise awareness and money for the Club. If you are interested in taking part in the relay event please speak to Phill on Wednesday night as entries need to be put through before the end of January. Everyone is welcome to take part and we will put out as many teams as is needed!! We would ask that all runners raise a minimum of £20 each to cover the entry costs.
Saturday 7th November 2009
Newtownabbey Racers is hosting its first indoor athletics competition. It will be held at the Valley Leisure Centre. Racers will be joined by All Stars, North Down, Larne and Dungannon SOC. Competition will start at 1.30 pm sharp and athletes should arrive early in order to be present at briefing and warm up which will start at 1.15pm. It is hoped that the evnt will finish at approx 5pm after the medal ceremony! Athletes will have the opportunity to take part in competition and develop their skills in sprints, jumps, throws and relays! Family and friends are very welcome to come along and support the event!
Saturday 5th December
Lee has been busy organising some fund raising events. Matalan are hosting Lee and any willing volunteers for a continuous spin at the Newtownabbey branch of the store! If anyone wants to pedal to help raise some cash or come along and support Lee and her spinners then speak to Lee on any of the club nights!
